Wait list Requirements:
If you are interested in being placed on one of our wait list, you will be required to pay a $200 slot reservation fee. This fee is non refundable. Slots are assigned to the next available slot by the time stamp on your payment. When the dogs are mated an announcement will be made on the page. Pregnancy typically last around 63 days. We will announce if/when pregnancy is confirmed or not confirmed. If confirmed we will also announce the delivery due date. 1 week prior to the due date we will have a x-ray done to predict the number of puppies. Once given the number we will post to the page that number of slots on the wait list. At that time of notification you will be given 48 hours to pay a $500 deposit/hold fee which is also non refundable.
Once the pups are born, within 24 hours you will be made aware of the genders and colors of the litter. If the gender/color that you desire is not available when it is your slot to pick, you can transfer your deposit to the next litter 1 time only.
Puppy selections are made at 4 weeks old and in the order of waitlist slots. Once your selection is made you have 24 hours to pay $1000 towards your remaining balance. The rest of your balance is due 3 business days before the pup is picked up at 8 weeks old, unless paying with cash on the day of pick up. This allows all payments time to post/clear. Pending transactions on the day of pick up are not accepted and may be cancelled by the breeder. If you fail to meet any of the deadlines you will lose your slot in that litter, not be refunded, but bumped back to the waitlist, one time only. The pup will be advertised as for sale within 48 hours of the missed deadline. We accept Money order, Venmo, Cash , and Zelle.
If you fail to pick up your baby by the designated pick up date, you will be charged $25 a day the first week for boarding. After 7 days of failure to pick up your puppy it will be advertised as for sale and no funds will be refunded. This is a firm policy!

What makes your program stand out?
Our dogs are a part of our family. They reside in our home. All adult dogs are health/dna tested. All of our adult dogs are given flea and heart worm prevention. They are fed a high quality diet. They are professionally groomed regularly. We provide a transparent view of the quality of their lives by being very active on our social media pages. One of our goals is to form a bond with the families from birth until pick up by giving an up close and personal experience from birth. We try to record the births of each litter live for our families in the most least invasive way so that the dam is comfortable. From birth until pick up we post pictures multiple times a week. We also allow 1 FaceTime call per week once picks are made until pick up. Picks are made at 5-6 weeks of age. We use puppy culture and we also follow the Badass Breeder guide in our program. This gives our pups a head start in their lives and helps them greatly in the long run. Our pups are socialized daily by being handled and engaging with our family. We introduce them to different sounds and textures daily to help them prepare for the world beginning at 3 days old. We begin ENS at that point and also scent introduction. We begin litter box training at 3 weeks old. We begin crate training at 6 weeks old, which assist greatly with house training when they go on to their furever families at 8 weeks. This has been reported very helpful by the families of our past pups.
We strive to provide our pups and their families a great experience. We are here for the lifetime of the pet to offer advise and support. We have a private fb group only for our pup’s furever families to share photos/vides of their journeys while in their new homes! This group is also in place for us to offer support to our Designer Pups of Alabama’s furever families! The group is called Designer Pups LEGACY! You will only be allowed entry once you purchase a pup from us.
How do we stay connected after purchase?
Once you purchase a pup from us you are given access to a private group. In the group you are able to ask questions and post updates photos of your pup for the life of the pup. You will be connected with every litter’s families which allows support and a way to stay connected.
What kind of pups do you breed?
We breed pure bred toy, miniature, and standard poodles. We also breed micro, miniature, and medium golden doodles.
What is your price range for a pup?
Our prices start from $3500 a pup. This is the pet only/limited/no breeding rights registration price. Pups must be spayed or neutered under this purchase type (by age 1yr by your vet). Breeding rights/full registration requires an additional fee and only available to approved breeders. Prices may vary depending on breed, pedigree, gender, markings, and colors.
Are deposits refundable?
No, deposits are not refundable under no circumstance unless the breeder chooses to return for business reasons.
All sales are nonrefundable. If the owner wishes to return, no funds are refunded! Firm policy.
Registration?
Our poodle pups will be registered as LIMITED/pet only/no breeding rights and must be spayed/neutered. For pure breed poodles limited registration is provide once the proof of spay/neuter is returned to the breeder.
FULL registration papers/breeding rights is only available to approved breeders within our program or upon an equal trade. Breeding rights require an additional fee additional to the pet prices listed. All pups sold as co-owns for our mentership program registration shall be held by the breeder until after the last breeding. After the last breeding and the dog is spayed the registration shall be turned over to the buyer/co-own.
Due to golden doodles being a mix breed, they are not registrable through AKC as they do not register mixed/designer breeds. Therefore, these litters will not come with AKC registration at purchase but will have the health paperwork, contract, and ect as the poodles do.
How big will the pups get?
We can not guarantee size of a pup. We provide the measurements of each parent at each announcement.
Can I choose the gender, coat type, and color pup I want?
I can not guarantee the genders, coat type, or colors. If what you desire is not available at the time of your slot pick you have the option to move your deposit to the next litter’s top available slot or chose the next available slot on another waitlist.
Who will get first choice on the wait list?
The breeder has the option to keep any desired pup from each litter, or sale this pick for an additional $1000 fee. We start at the top of the wait list when pups are born and reserve the amount of pups born for the appropriate slots. Any slots left will be bumped up to the top for the next litter. If a person fails to meet all financial deadlines the next person on the list will be given the option to hold that pup slot in the current litter.
Do you deliver the pup?
We can meet up to 1 hour. If you reside out of state and chose to have your pup transported by a professional, you are responsible for the full cost of transportation. We do have a trusted flight nanny who we can refer you to. However, Designer Pups of Alabama holds no responsibility once the pup is turned over to the flight nanny/transporter. If you request our staff deliver to the nearest airport to you the fee is $500.
What will the pup come with?
The pup will be vet checked, current on immunizations, dewormed, shot record provided, registration paperwork (limited/pet only poodles. Doodles are registered due to being a mix breed), travel bag to include a small bag of food and other items; each bag is different which is a surprise from the breeder.
